The Official Uniswap Addresses

Uniswap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) protocol built by the company Uniswap Labs. It runs on Ethereum and many other networks, including Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche and Unichain, Uniswap’s own layer 2. There is no account and no sign-up. You connect a wallet and keep your own keys.

The official web addresses are:

Purpose Official address
Main website (info, news, links) uniswap.org
Web app for swaps and liquidity app.uniswap.org
Help center support.uniswap.org
Developer docs developers.uniswap.org/docs
Support email [email protected]
X (Twitter) @Uniswap

uniswap.org is the front door. It describes the protocol and links to the products.

app.uniswap.org is where swapping actually happens. Both belong to the same organization. Any other domain claiming to be “the Uniswap exchange” deserves suspicion.

How to Open the Real App Every Time

Follow these five verification steps to ensure you are interacting strictly with the authentic decentralized exchange interface:

1

Type directly into your browser

Type app.uniswap.org directly into your browser’s address bar. Don’t rely on search results.

2

Check the address bar character-by-character

The domain must read exactly app.uniswap.org, with nothing added before “uniswap.org” except “app.” and nothing after “.org”.

3

Confirm HTTPS connection

Confirm the connection uses HTTPS (padlock icon). HTTPS alone doesn’t prove a site is legitimate, because scam sites use it too, so the domain check matters more.

4

Save a browser bookmark

Bookmark the page and use that bookmark from now on.

5

Connect your wallet

Click “Connect” and choose your wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect, Uniswap Wallet, or a hardware wallet through one of those).

Official Apps and the Chrome Extension

Uniswap Labs also makes a self-custody wallet. Only install it from official stores:

  • iOS: App Store listing “Uniswap: Crypto & NFT Wallet”
  • Android: Google Play
  • Chrome: the Uniswap Extension in the Chrome Web Store, published by “Universal Navigation Inc”, the legal name of Uniswap Labs
Safe Download Practice

The safest way to reach these listings is through the links on uniswap.org rather than by searching the stores, where copycat apps sometimes appear.

How Fake Uniswap Sites Trick People

Scammers copy the Uniswap interface almost pixel for pixel. The difference is in the domain and in what they ask you to sign. Common tricks include:

  • Lookalike domains: extra words, hyphens or odd endings, for example something in the style of uniswap-web.us.org, or letters swapped with similar-looking characters (punycode).
  • Sponsored search ads: paid ads placed above real results that lead to clones.
  • Fake airdrops: “Claim your UNI” pages that exist only to get a malicious signature.
  • Drainer signatures: requests to sign a permit or setApprovalForAll that hand over control of your tokens or NFTs.
  • Fake support: “agents” on Telegram, WhatsApp or Discord who message you first.
  • Fake tokens: coins using a real ticker but a different contract address.
  • Address poisoning: tiny transfers from an address that looks like one you’ve used, hoping you copy it from history.

Red-Flags Checklist

Stop immediately if you see any of these:

×
The domain isn’t exactly app.uniswap.org or uniswap.org
×
A site asks you to “validate”, “sync” or “verify” your wallet (Uniswap has no such step)
×
Anyone asks for your recovery phrase
×
A signature request appears before you’ve even entered a swap
×
Someone you didn’t contact offers help in a direct message
×
A deal promises free tokens with a countdown timer
Absolute Rule of Self-Custody

Core rule: never type your recovery phrase (seed phrase) into any website, app form, chat or “support” request. No legitimate service needs it.

If You Already Connected or Signed on a Fake Site

Connecting alone usually only shares your public address. Signing is what causes damage. Act quickly:

1

Disconnect the site in your wallet

Open your wallet settings, navigate to connected sites/permissions, and revoke the connection immediately.

2

Revoke token approvals

Review and revoke token approvals with a tool such as revoke.cash, opened by typing its address yourself.

3

Rescue remaining assets

Move remaining assets you can reach to a safe, uncompromised address immediately.

4

Treat seed phrase disclosure as total compromise

If you entered your recovery phrase anywhere, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a brand-new wallet with a new phrase and transfer everything out.

5

Report malicious domains

Report the fake domain to your browser security filters and to Uniswap through support.uniswap.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is uniswap.org the same as app.uniswap.org?

Both are official. uniswap.org is the informational website, while app.uniswap.org is the web app where you connect a wallet and trade.

Do I need to create an account on the official Uniswap exchange?

No. Uniswap is non-custodial. You only connect a wallet you control, and there’s no registration or login.

Will Uniswap support contact me directly?

Uniswap Labs never sends the first DM. If someone reaches out claiming to be support, it’s a scam.

Is there an official page to claim UNI airdrops?

Treat any “claim UNI” link from ads, DMs or social replies as hostile. Check uniswap.org and the official @Uniswap account instead.

Who publishes the official Uniswap Chrome extension?

The Chrome Web Store listing is published by Universal Navigation Inc, which is Uniswap Labs’ legal name.
